Biography

Chris Hokin has an extensive artistic background. From the time he was a child, he could always be seen making something with his hands, moving around vigorously, or enacting his very own improvised play. He would later go on to achieve a fine art sculpture degree from the University of AZ, graduating magna cum laude, on top of his many extra curriculars which include martial arts, theatrical performance, and stuntwork.

For years, Chris pursued live-action stunts and film performance with  intermittent periods of work for local artists as an assistant, and theater companies as a prop maker. In 2019, a childhood dream was achieved by joining the cast of the Tournament of Kings at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas Nevada. Even during this time, Chris found himself in the unique position as a maker of things amongst very specialized artists, and so began making circus and performance props for the professionals of the Las Vegas Strip, and alumni of Cirque Du Soleil.

In 2020, everything came screeching to a halt and it was time to adjust all previous plans towards something sustainable, closer to home and family. In an effort to create a secure future, Chris launched his business in the local Tucson community. He is available for commissions ranging from custom knives, butcher blocks, bookcases, fireplace mantles, and outdoor gates to one-off original fine art sculptures. If your mind can conceive it, Chris can probably make it. Give him a call.
